Happy Wednesday Metalheads!! Hope you’re having a great week so far. Recently I had a request for some Kreator, so let’s take a trip back to 1989 to a song from the fourth album by the band called “Extreme Aggression” for the track “Betrayer.”
Kreator released a video for the song which was heavily featured on MTV’s Headbanger’s Ball and “Extreme Aggression” was the first album by the band to be released on Epic Records in the United States. While the band had gained a large fan base from touring with D.R.I. in 1987, the video helped to put them on the map and secure a spot on tours with Suicidal Tendencies and Coroner throughout North America.
Although the lineup has changed over the years, their current lineup has been the same since 2001 and in 2010 signed a record deal with Nuclear Blast. To date the band has released 14 albums, including the album “Gods of Violence” in 2017. In an interview with “Guitar Interactive” in 2018, singer/guitarist Mille Petrozza said that the band plans to take 2019 off to record their new album with an anticipated summer 2020 release date.
